This is an fabulously soft yarn, the nearest thing to animal fur in appearance and touch. Excellent for luxurious looking and gorgeous blankets and throws, shawls and scarves. It is a nylon/polyester material.

Fur Slinky yarn - Single Skein

The photograph illustrates exactly what will be found in your purchase. It is for a single skein of Fur Slinky which we use as 3 strands simultaneously to make a gorgeous ultra thick strand.

This is an fabulously soft yarn, the nearest thing to animal fur in appearance and touch. Material - 91% Nylon, 9% Polyester. The material comes in skeins which you will need to make into balls before beginning your project. There are 4 ties around the skein which you will need to snip off. Best way, after cutting the ties, is to get friend or family to slip their hands into the centre of the skein, pull the skein tight around their hands while you take the end and wind the ball.

What can it do? 

We mostly use a 4 strand combo when using this material. 3 strands of the Fur Slinky to create a thicker fur and we always add one normal yarn such as double knit or aran weight along side as this makes the knitting much easier - it is an incredibly slippery yarn otherwise. We recommend 15mm or 19mm Extreme Knitting needles or crochet hooks for the 4 strands. We prefer to use the 600mm or 700mm lengths, though 500mm will do.

We create different shades by mixing the colours in our 3 strands - for example brown/white/caramel or black/white/grey.The item has many uses - use in the living room, bedroom, as clothing, in the garden, out on picnics....

And another great thing is that it's machine washable on a normal wash
