• The design was inspired by the brilliant blues of summer skies, bright in the day and inky purple at night.
• Size 1830 x 900 mm (72 x 35 inches). 25 mms (1 inch) thick.
• Weight 6 kg (14 lbs).
• Made May 2004.
• 75 strands of varied ply used to create a tighter density stitch.
• Over 250 different wools used in this rug.
• Mixed Fibres 70% Wool, 30% mixed fibres eg cotton, silk, acrylic.
• The body of the rug is hand knitted on handmade needles - made by Rachel. The tassels are hand knotted.
